Midcent is a small product made by a small team. When you write to us, a person reads it — not a queue, not a bot, not a ticket system.

How to reach us

Email us at support@passfilter.com. That is the best and only way to reach us. We aim to respond within one business day, though it is often sooner.

What to include

A short description of what happened is usually enough. If something went wrong, it helps to know:

  • Which version of Midcent you are running — you can find this under Midcent > About Midcent in the menu bar
  • Which version of macOS you are running
  • What you were doing when it happened

Screenshots are welcome if they would make things clearer.

Common questions

Where are my files stored?

On your computer. Midcent does not use cloud storage or sync. Your projects live in standard folders you can back up however you prefer. If you are not sure where a project is saved, check File > Show in Finder.

Can I move a project to another computer?

Yes. Copy the project folder to the new machine and open it in Midcent. There is no account or license transfer involved — just files.

I lost a project. Can you recover it?

Because Midcent stores everything locally, we do not have copies of your work. If you have Time Machine or another backup service running, that is the best place to look.

Does Midcent work offline?

Always. It does not require an internet connection for anything.

I have a feature request.

We would like to hear it. Send it to the same address — support@passfilter.com. We read every suggestion, even when we cannot reply to each one individually.

We are writers who made a writing tool. We care about the experience of using it — the texture, the rhythm, the quiet. If something feels off, that matters to us. Do not hesitate to reach out.
